Looks and gameplay
Portraits show character artwork; they are not a promise that a character’s world sprite has the same proportions. Appearance does not grant a different race’s bonuses or spells. All races support the six original classes. Necromancer is available to Human, Elf, Undead and Ghost. Paladin and Amazon are Human-only. Some individual appearances have class restrictions: Lich is Druid, Sorcerer or Necromancer only. Conde and Condessa can be chosen by both Undead and Vampire, and the Ghost appearance by both Undead and Ghost.
The browser shows each distinct portrait once. Some appearances share a portrait, such as Skeleton and Skeleton Knight; that does not remove either appearance from character creation. The traditional races use race-and-class portraits rather than a separate painted portrait for every hair or outfit choice.
