Mana Shield
How Mana Shield works, who can cast it, and what happens when damage reaches your mana pool.
Mana Shield is a defensive mage spell that redirects incoming damage from health to mana while it is active.

What it does
While active, incoming damage is handled by the mana shield first. Current gameplay converts shielded damage into mana loss at a one-to-one ratio.
If the damage is greater than your remaining mana, the excess damage spills over to health.
Mana Shield is integrated with:
- normal incoming hits
- damage-over-time effect damage through entity effect handling
- spell state storage for active character spells
Duration
Mana Shield duration is calculated from your Magic skill. The current range is:
- minimum duration:
20seconds - maximum duration:
120seconds
The exact duration depends on your character’s Magic skill at cast time.
