Class choices & portraits

Choose Warrior, Berserker, Druid, Sorcerer, Rogue or Hunter. Class choice changes your progression and spells; choosing a different appearance does not change your race.

Racial bonuses & tradeoffs

These racial skill modifiers are separate from your class's progression affinities. A negative modifier does not prevent you from learning or using that skill. Every class can pursue crafting and gathering.

Racial spells & level milestones

These spells are exclusive to Troll characters and are available across all six classes unless a class is listed separately below. Character level alone is not enough: meet the named casting requirement shown in your spellbook, learn the spell, and have enough mana. See Spells and Magic for casting and learning.

SpellCast requirementsWhat it does
Thick HideLevel 5 + Magic 5Raise Resistance by 20–60% for a base 30–90 seconds, scaling with Magic. Does not also raise Magic Resistance.
Troll RegenerationLevel 5 + Magic 5Temporarily regenerate health for 9–21 seconds, scaling with Magic. This is healing over time, not an instant heal.
Boulder TossLevel 10 + Magic 12Hit one target with Earth damage and stun it for 1 second if it is susceptible. Stun-immune monsters can still take the hit.
Ground SlamLevel 20 + Magic 10Damage enemies around you. Against players, also reduce Speed by 20–35% for 30–60 seconds, scaling with Magic.
Rumbling RoarLevel 20 + Magic 10Reduce nearby enemies’ Strength by 10–30% for a base 10–30 seconds, scaling with Magic. Does not deal damage.

Level 25: race & class spells

Each of these spells needs both this race and the matching class, plus the named casting requirement below. They are not shared with your other class choices.

ClassSpellCast requirementsWhat it does
DruidAncestral GrowthLevel 25 + Magic 10Grant nearby players Resistance and Magic Resistance, then restore health in an area, including yourself.
HunterBoulder RainLevel 25 + Magic 7Damage enemies in a targeted area with brief Bleeding and Freezing. Against players, also reduce Speed by 20–35% for 30–60 seconds.
RogueCrushing AmbushLevel 25 + Magic 5Throw a magical projectile that damages and briefly wounds one target, then stuns it if susceptible. Does not require Stealth.
SorcererEarth ShockLevel 25 + Magic 10Unleash a large blast around yourself, causing brief Burning and stunning susceptible targets. Costs 780 base mana and some of your own health; the health cost cannot reduce you below 1 HP.
BerserkerRegenerative FuryLevel 25 + Strength 2Gain Fury’s Strength boost and Resistance penalty, then instantly heal yourself. Does not activate Troll Regeneration.
WarriorStonebackLevel 25 + Strength 5Temporarily raise Shielding and instantly heal yourself. The healing is immediate, not Troll Regeneration.

Important limitations

Regeneration is an activated spell, not permanent passive healing. Thick Hide improves Resistance; Rumbling Roar weakens nearby enemies without dealing damage. Lower Dexterity and Distance are racial tradeoffs, but Troll has no racial Strength or Magic modifier.
