Undead Bane
Paladin deals +20% damage to undead targets. This applies to undead monsters and to player characters whose race is Undead, Vampire or Ghost. The bonus applies to normal hits and area spells.
Spells
All Paladin spells use the Holy element, so the guild Holy skill raises their power. Smite is the tier-one starter spell and is learned automatically. The other spells need spell tomes.
| Spell | Requirement | Tome | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smite | Magic 1 | Tier 1, automatic | Ranged Holy damage. |
| Lay on Hands | Magic 4 | Tier 2 | Heals you or a party ally. |
| Holy Shield | Magic 5 | Tier 2 | Raises block chance for a short time. |
| Judgment | Magic 5 | Tier 2 | Melee Holy strike that can stun. |
| Consecration | Magic 6 | Tier 2 | Holy damage around you. |
| Divine Aura | Magic 8 | Tier 2 | Raises defenses for you and party allies. |
| Hammer of Justice | Magic 10 | Tier 5 | Ranged Holy hit that stuns briefly. |
| Blessing of Might | Magic 12 | Tier 4 | Raises Strength and Sword for you and party allies. |
| Healing Light | Magic 16 | Tier 5 | Heals you and party allies in the area. |
| Wrath of Heaven | Magic 22 | Tier 6 | Heavy Holy damage around you. |
Party play
Lay on Hands and Healing Light heal actual party members. Divine Aura and Blessing of Might also affect party allies, not strangers. Refreshing the same buff does not stack it. Healing another character does not train their Magic Resistance.
Equipment
Paladin trains swords, maces and shields. Its strongest weapon progression is sword, followed by mace. Holy spellcasting still needs Magic levels, so a pure weapon build casts less often.
